About Me

harmonygritz
I'm interested in the problem of the go/no-go switch in student learning. This is not exactly when a teacher sees "the light go on" in a student's head (a glorious moment indeed) but rather when the teacher senses it is all right to let the student proceed to colleagues in more advanced courses. This may be as early as halfway through a course schedule, or as late as finals week. This butts up against systemic issues of "assessment" with no clear resolution in sight. I am also interested in teaching and learning via social media. To that end, my educator persona and user name is the same across Blogger, Twitter and Facebook. (I don't friend current students but otherwise open to suggestion, FB Groups etc.)
